We began with a warm-up on identifying sentence parts and then moved in to reading DTW. Students continued to work on the DTW hand out while listening to the audio. For Home: Please finish the DTW worksheet to be submitted next class. In Class:
Today we began with a warm-up on different types of conjunctions and then recapped Sherman Alexie's "Valediction". Students were then given a brief introduction on Washington Irving and "The Devil and Tom Walker". Our focus for this text will be less on content and more on craft as we read through the text. We are also emphasizing thematic elements that allow us to better understand a text meaning. At Home: None. We will continue our reading and discussion of DTW next class.

Today, we began with a warm-up on verbs and then moved into some group work to discuss the assigned poems. Groups were then asked to present their poems and specific details they found based on their TP-CASTT worksheets. For Home: None
